The Kiwanis Club of Las Cruces raises funds for the McKinney-Vento Project Link.  

At the Kiwanis of Las Cruces meeting on December 6, 2023, a check for $1000 and gift cards worth $1150 were presented to Las Cruces Public Schools, McKinney-Vento Project Link, represented by Ray Banegas, Juliet Pearcy, and Margarita Solis. This is the group that looks after Housing insecure students in the Las Cruces Public School district. The presenters were Kiwanians, Robert Treulich and Jim Vorenburg.

The funds awarded were raised at events we’ve held during 2023. 

In September 2023, we held a Paint event to raise funds. 

During the Renaissance Arts Faire of 2023, the Kiwanis Club of Las Cruces had a booth where we sold “rat of a stick”.  All money raised during that weekend will be used to support our signature project – KHISS (Kiwanis Housing Insecure Student Support).

Restaurant Days fundraisers were also held at Panda Express, Raising Cane’s and Texas Roadhouse.

In October of 2023, the Kiwanis Club of Las Cruces held a Halloween Fish Fry to raise funds.
